Dog walking apps, such as Wag, and Rover are massive businesses, with thousands of employees. While some of the dog walkers employed by these companies are competent and caring people, the majority are merely trying to make a quick buck. These companies set the bar very low when hiring walkers. Virtually everyone who applies is accepted, as long as they aren't a convicted felon.

That's not good enough.

We were frustrated by the lack of trustworthy dog walkers, and we assumed that other pet owners were frustrated too. That's why we decided to start the Best Friends dog walking service.

We're a small business, and our team of dog walkers is made up entirely of family and friends. The fact is that we don't trust someone to walk your dog that we wouldn't trust to walk our dogs.

Companies like Wag and Rover have layers and layers of management. Try getting one of their supervisors on the phone if you have a problem. You'll end up speaking to someone in another state, who has never met you, has never met your dog, and has literally never met any of the dog walkers that they employ! Go to any of the major review websites and look into these companies. You'll be horrified by the stories you'll read.

We on the other hand, are small and local. By limiting the number of clients we accept, we're able to tend to your needs on a more personal level. We come to your home to meet you and your dog before you become a customer. And if you ever have any questions or concerns, our founder and owner is always just a phone call away!

Best Friends offers a premium service at an economical price. Our dog walkers are completely trustworthy and dependable. When you hire us, you aren't just getting a dog walker, you're getting piece of mind. Give us a try. You won't regret it.

We offer 2 types of walk packages - a workweek plan and an out of town plan.

Workweek Walk Package

This package includes one, approximately 20 minute walk, every weekday afternoon. We'll also feed your dog as per your instructions. This package costs $269 per month. You'll receive a notification sent to your phone and email after each walk. This notification will include a link to gps map showing the route we took (image below), and details regarding the walk.

When you login to your account, you'll be able leave information and messages for your dog walker, such as feeding instructions. From your account, you'll also be able to cancel walks and recieve a per diem credit for it on your next bill. For example, if you happen to be home on a certain day and will be able to walk your own dog, you can simply login, and cancel your scheduled walk for that day. On the next month's bill, you'll be credited for that walk! We allow up to 2 cancellations for credit a month.

Out Of Town Walk Package

Our out of town package consists of two, aproximately 30 minute walks a day. One walk in the morning, and another walk at night. We'll also feed your dog according to your instructions. With this package we try and space out the walks by roughly 12 hours to best relieve your dog while you are out of town. For instance, we may walk/feed your dog at 8:30 AM and then again at 8:30 PM for the duration of the package.

You can book an out of town package for anywhere from 1 to 8 days. The package cost is only $49 per day. The charge for a half day (one 30 minute walk/feeding) is $25. So for example, if you are leaving town Friday morning after walking your own dog, and returning home Sunday evening in time to walk him yourself, you would be charged $25 for Friday (half day), $49 for Saturday (full day), and $25 for Sunday (half day), totaling $99.

And, like the workweek package, you'll be sent updates after each walk and have access to our website, where you can login and add or change feeding instructions for your dog walker.
